Formal Etiquette Girl Class

(Ages 12–14)

A 90-minute, faith-centered Girl Class focused on etiquette, leadership, and confident social presence.

This Waverly High Girl Class (ages 12–14) offers a thoughtful study of etiquette, presence, and character formation during a pivotal season of growth. Girls are expected to dress formally for each class as they learn both semi-casual and formal dining etiquette, along with the social graces and manners that prepare them to move confidently through academic, social, and professional spaces.

February focuses on Foundations of Presence & Courtesy, where girls refine posture, poise, and first impressions while developing calm confidence and respectful body language. Through guided discussion and practical application, girls strengthen eye contact, active listening, thoughtful conversation, and speaking with clarity and grace. Instruction also introduces hospitality, gratitude, and table etiquette as essential expressions of courtesy and leadership.

March expands into Confidence, Character & Social Grace, emphasizing personal presentation and grooming as self-respect, confidence rooted in gratitude and kindness, and the ability to receive and offer compliments with humility. Girls practice written correspondence and thank-you notes, hosting basics, social confidence in group settings, and respectful digital communication. With an emphasis on empathy, discernment, and leadership, girls are encouraged to be a positive and grounded presence in every space they enter.

This two-month experience equips young women with timeless skills that support thoughtful decision-making, meaningful relationships, and gracious presence in every room they enter.
